Olivier Pastré (Master of Economics at the University of Rhodes Island, PhD in Economics) has taught at several French and foreign universities. He was a consultant for the OECD and the EEC, then chaired a working group of the Planning Commission devoted to the future of the French financial system. He was a policy officer at the Treasury Department, before becoming CEO of SBFI. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and, since 2007, he has been a member of the Scientific Council of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers.

He has held various editorial positions and was notably scientific adviser to the Revue d’économie financière. He is the author of numerous articles and books, some of which have been reviewed by the Turgot Club. His pioneering work on the financial crisis of 2008 received the Turgot Prize.
