Benoît Cœuré

Benoît Cœuré (X, ENSAE, DEA in Economics at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, BA in Japanese) has been President of the French Competition Authority since 2022, and President of the Competition Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) since 2025. He is also a member of the Cercle des économistes and a professor of economics at Sciences Po Paris.

 Benoît Cœuré was a director of INSEE, a member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank, and Director of the France Trésor agency before co-chairing the Paris Club. He also chaired the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS) of the Bank for International Settlements.

Benoit Coeuré has written numerous articles and books on finance and monetary policy, some of which have been reviewed by the Turgot Club.
